Our 31st  Annual Greek Festival by the Monterey Bay will be held every day during Labor Day Weekend at the Monterey Custom House Plaza near the Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf. Last year, more than 20,000 people visited the festival during the three day weekend. This festival is a cultural event and depends heavily on volunteers for its success.

Volunteers are needed for packaging and serving food at one of our nine major food booths: the gyros booth, the loukomades booth, the pastry booth, the ice cream booth, the coffee booth, and the souvlaki booth. Volunteers will take orders from patrons, serve food, package food orders, fill plates, and cut tomatoes and bread. Lunch coupons for four hours of service or more will be provided.

Student volunteers can earn community service credit!

Shifts are generally divided up as follows:

Saturday and Sunday:
First Shift: 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Second Shift: 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

One shift: 10:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Please help us make this festival a success. To volunteer, please call Thimi at 831-384-3983, or ask for Thimi at the tokens booth on the day of the event to sign up. Community Service forms will be provided on the day of volunteer work. Thank you!

We hope to see you soon!
