Our 29th Annual Greek Festival by the Monterey Bay will be held on Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 6, & 7, 2015 at the Monterey Custom House Plaza near the Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf. Last year more than 20,000 people visited the festival over the three days. This festival is a cultural event and depends heavily on volunteers for its success.
Volunteers are needed for packaging and serving food at one of our nine major food booths: the gyros booth, loukomades booth, pastry booth, ice cream booth, coffee booth, and souvlaki booth. Volunteers will take quantity orders from patrons, serve festival-goers, package food orders, and cut meat, tomatoes, and bread. Lunch coupons for four hours of service or more will be provided.
Shifts are as follows:
Saturday and Sunday:
First Shift: 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Second Shift: 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
One shift: 10:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Please help us make this festival a success! To volunteer, please call Anthony at 831-402-4493 or ask for Anthony at the “tokens” booth on the day of the event to sign up. Community service forms will be provided on the day you sign up to volunteer.
We hope to see you soon!
